Surfer is a program designed for comprehensive visualization of XYZ data, which makes it most often used for mapping and land surface modeling, although it is not the only feature of the program. The built-in wide set of interpolation methods for generating a regular grid of values, allows you to choose the optimal algorithm for the nature of the input data.

Attention

The license server is only accessible from the AGH network. In order to install the software at home, you need to use VPN. Read more: Connecting to the AGH VPN.

1. Go to the AGH Cloud, where you will be redirected to the AGH SSO log-in page. Log in using your AGH e-mail credentials.

  1. After logging in, press the "Surfer_26_Installer.exe" tile. The installer will download to your PC.
  1. Launch the installer and install the program with recommended settings. Read the license agreement and choose "Agree and Continue".
  1. Choose "Install".
  1. Once installed, the program will launch automatically . Click "Select License Server".
  1. Select "Enter license server name". In the field below, enter the server name (you can find it in the AGH Panel, in the "Software" tab) and select "Get License". The software is ready to use.
