Desktop GIS solutions are a platform for creating, editing and analyzing geographic information. They allow to view data in the form of maps and analyse data in terms of its spatial distribution, relationships and trends, i.e. various aspects that cannot be read directly from a tabular record of data. This is particularly useful for decision-making. ArcGIS for Desktop includes ready-to-use tools that allow you to build models, scripts and complete workflows to help you better answer questions, test predictions and check spatial relationships between data.

A computing environment designed for engineers and scientists to perform mathematical calculations, numerical analysis, visualisation of the obtained results (2D, 3D), as well as development of algorithms and programs. MATLAB's language is intuitive and convenient to use, making the development of algorithms simpler than programming languages such as C or Fortran.

Microsoft Azure Dev Tools for Teaching (Azure Education) is a programme for universities and colleges teaching, among other things, computer science. The subscription allows access to operating systems, specialised software and development tools from Microsoft, including Windows, Windows Server, Project Professional, etc. An up-to-date list of software is available on the Microsoft Azure website. It is required to log in with an e-mail address in the @agh.edu.pl or @student.agh.edu.pl domain.

SOLIDWORKS is a three-dimensional parametric modeling program used in CAD engineering design. It allows to design individual components and assemble them into a complete model, and also allows the preparation of manufacturing documentation.
With additional modules and the ability to extend the range of functionality, 3D CAD software facilitates the automation of tasks, positively influencing the optimization of production time and costs.

Statgraphics Centurion is a software program that facilitates statistical data analysis in a very wide range of applications. Surfer is a program designed for comprehensive visualization of XYZ data, which makes it most often used for mapping and land surface modeling, although it is not the only feature of the program. The built-in wide set of interpolation methods for generating a regular grid of values, allows you to choose the optimal algorithm for the nature of the input data.
