AGH e-mail account registration

The process of registering an AGH e-mail account is different for each of the following groups:

Employees

In order to register an AGH e-mail account for an employee, you need to fill out a form with the employee's personal information (Account registration form – AGH University employee).

The form needs to be signed by the employee in question and approved by their direct supervisor, which can be done in two ways:

  • The supervisor signs the paper form, which is then scanned and sent as an attachment to ithelp@agh.edu.pl from an @agh.edu.pl e-mail address,
  • The supervisor sends a scanned form as an attachment to an e-mail, which is digitally signed with their certificate, to ithelp@agh.edu.pl.
Attention

Employees who do not have a PESEL number must enter their date of birth instead.

Students (full-time and part-time studies) and doctoral students

Students and doctoral students can create an AGH e-mail account using a self-service form. To fill it out, you will need:

  • a Student ID Number,
  • a PESEL number,
  • access to the e-mail box indicated in the admission process.
Attention

If you do not have a PESEL number, you need to instead enter your date of birth in the YYMMDD format followed by five zeroes. For example, if you were born on the 25th of June 2001, your PESEL number is 01062500000. If the system shows that this data is incorrect, it might be necessary to add the number “20” to your birth month, e.g. instead of 01062500000, enter 01262500000.

To create an AGH e-mail account, please follow the steps shown below:

  1. Go to: panel.agh.edu.pl/newuser/newuser.php.

  2. Enter your Student ID number and your PESEL number and press "Submit".

  1. After verifying the submitted data, the system will send you an activation code to the e-mail address you have provided during the admission process. Enter the "Activation code" and press "Activate".
  1. Enter a username and click the "Create account" button.

We recommend ticking the checkbox at the "Activate the possibility of resetting your password using your private e-mail address" option. If you do not enable this option here, you will still be able to do so later on after logging in to the AGH Panel.

  1. Save your e-mail address and password in a safe place. Press "Close".
Attention

After five failed registration attempts, the system will block any further attempts for your Student ID number.

If you encounter any problems with the online form, contact the IT Helpdesk by sending a message from the e-mail address you have provided during the admission process. The message should include your first name, last name and Student ID number.

Attention, student!

You can enable the option to recover your password using your private e-mail address to avoid having to visit the IT Helpdesk office in person in case you ever forget your password. For instructions on how to do that, read below.

Enabling/updating your password recovery e-mail address

Attention

The password recovery tool is not yet available to doctoral students and to the participants of the non-degree postgraduate programme. For information on how to reset your password, please read the following guide: Password change and recovery.

  1. Log into the AGH Panel and open the "You" tab located in the menu to the left.

  2. Check in the box next to the "I want to be able to reset my password to the Poczta AGH system by submitting the Student ID number, PESEL number and the code sent to the provided e-mail address." option.

  3. Enter your private e-mail address that will be used for the purpose of authorizing your password recovery request in the future and press "Change".

  1. Authorize your request by entering your PESEL number.

AGH Units

In order to create an AGH e-mail account for a University unit, a form (Account registration form – AGH University Units) needs to be filled out by an employee. The form must be approved by the head of department, which can be done in two ways:

  • Head of department signs the paper form, which is then scanned and sent as an attachment to ithelp@agh.edu.pl from an @agh.edu.pl e-mail address,
  • Head of department sends the scanned form as an attachment to an e-mail, which is digitally signed with their certificate, to ithelp@agh.edu.pl.

Student organisations

In order to create an AGH e-mail account for a student organisation or research club, a filled out form (Account registration form – Student Organisations) must be sent from an @agh.edu.pl or @student.agh.edu.pl e-mail address to the Student Affairs Centre at dss@agh.edu.pl.
